The Mechanical Engineering Directorate uses state-of-the-art tools, processes technology and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.Raytheon IDS MED is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer in the Radar and Electronic Systems department. The RES department contains approximately 60 Mechanical & Hardware systems engineers located in Fullerton and San Diego, CA. The department supports Command and Control as well as Baffle Field Radar product lines within the IDS business unit both domestically and internationally. The Mechanical Engineer will be reporting directly to the Mechanical Design section in the department performing research, design, analysis, and development in such areas as mechanical systems, thermal systems, materials, test equipment, hardware processes, or manufacturing processes. You would apply your skills to the planning, design, development and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems, instruments, controls, and/or machines.Responsibilities include:Hardware Design Support ?? Peer review engineering documentation, build/assembly support, produce as built redlined drawings Perform research, design, analysis, and development in the areas of Mechanical design and engineering. Perform technical drafting services in support of engineering drawing releasesHardware Assembly - Electronics packaging, HW assembly and deployment, Field installation.
