The mission of the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (the School) is to prepare students for lifelong success in health careers by providing an excellent, student-centered learning environment. The Associate Clinical Professor or Clinical Professor, Director of Professional Programs is a full-time, non-tenure track appointment at the University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The Director of Professional Programs serves as a member in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Professional Programs, the Director of Professional Programs oversees the overall coordination of the experiential curriculum and supervises the administrative staff in the Office of Professional Programs. Besides teaching responsibilities, the Associate Clinical Professor or Clinical Professor, Director of Professional Programs carries administrative duties to support the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) Regional Coordinators and the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) Experiential Coordinators, clinical site development and supervise the administrative staff in the Office of Professional Programs. The Director of Professional Programs administers student placement in regions, assures student eligibility to start APPEs, oversees the overall coordination of APPE activities.Basic Qualifications
Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible for licensure in California
EDUCATION: A Pharm.D. degree with residency and/or fellowship, or equivalent experience is required
Strong leadership, experiential education coordination experience, clinical practice experience, ethical conduct, professionalism, multicultural and diversity competence, management abilities, and effective interpersonal communication skills are required.
